Sri Yona is an assistant professor at the Universitas Indonesia, Faculty of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing Department. She was graduated from Universitas Indonesia, Faculty of Nursing, Bachelor Nursing in 1999. She then received scholarship from AusAid to continue her study in Flinders University, Adelaide, South Australia and graduated as Master of Nursing in 2005. She completed her doctoral degree at University of Illinois at Chicago, USA, in 2014. Her dissertation was about HIV-positive Indonesian female injection drug users in drug recovery .
Sri Yona also did several researchs, focus on HIV, women with injected drug users, and adolescents reproductive health. She received several funded from Ministry of higher Education and has published several articles, from her research.
