Ns. Prima Agustia Nova, S.Kep., M.Sc. is a lecturer in the Medical Surgical Nursing Department at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (FoN UI), and a member of the Acute and Critical Care research group.
Her primary areas of expertise and research interest include medical-surgical nursing, acute and critical care, palliative care for patients with chronic conditions — particularly heart failure and stroke — as well as family support in patient recovery and post-operative nursing care. As a researcher, she has produced a number of scientific works covering topics such as internal stigma in stroke survivors, the effect of walking exercise on functional capacity in post-coronary artery bypass graft patients, palliative care needs in chronic heart failure, and nursing interventions for sleep disorders in cardiac patients. Her scholarly contributions support the achievement of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
Through her doctoral studies at the University of Manchester — one of the world’s leading centres for nursing research — she aims to deepen her expertise in high-quality nursing research and implementation science, with the goal of contributing meaningfully to the advancement of nursing knowledge, clinical practice, and health policy in Indonesia.
