Head of Study Program
The Professional Nursing Program at FON UI focuses on applying the nursing knowledge and competencies acquired during undergraduate studies into real-world clinical practice. Students are encouraged to deliver holistic, safe, and evidence-based nursing care while applying professional judgment in diverse healthcare settings. (evidence-based practice).
Graduates of the program are awarded the professional nursing title, Ners (Ns.), upon successful completion of all clinical practice requirements and the national competency examination. The program’s quality is reflected in its Excellent Accreditation status awarded by the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) and its international recognition through accreditation by the Accreditation Agency from AHPGS, (Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences) To achieve these competency standards, the program emphasizes comprehensive experiential learning through extensive field-based training. Students undertake clinical placements in leading hospitals, community health centers (Puskesmas), nursing homes, and community-based nursing practice settings, enabling them to develop the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to address diverse healthcare needs.

To develop holistic nursing care plans for clients with common health conditions based on a culturally responsive nursing process approach across client systems, enabling clients to achieve greater independence in self-care.

The Nursing Profession Study Program is a type of basic professional study program which is an integral part of the Bachelor of Nursing study program where graduates of the UI Bachelor of Nursing will automatically become students of the nursing profession study program. Currently, those who can take part in the nursing profession study program at the University of Indonesia are limited to undergraduate nursing graduates at the University of Indonesia.
