Master of Nursing Science Program – Regular Class

Welcome to the Master's Program in Nursing Science (PSMIK) – Regular Class at Universitas Indonesia, the premier choice for professional nurse graduates aspiring to advance their careers as experts, managers, or professional nursing lecturers.

Unlike the international class, this program uses Indonesian as the primary medium of instruction, featuring a deep focus on healthcare services that are sensitive to Indonesian culture. The quality of our education is guaranteed through an Excellent (Unggul) Accreditation from LAM-PTKes as well as International Accreditation from AHPGS (Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences).

Program Profile

The curriculum is comprehensively designed based on evidence-based practice, integrating theoretical instruction, laboratory work, clinical skills simulation, and early field practice across diverse healthcare settings. The total academic load for this program is 145 credit units (SKS), completed in a structured and gradual sequence to ensure students achieve both academic and professional competencies. Students are equipped with critical thinking, clinical reasoning, therapeutic communication, leadership, interprofessional collaboration, and foundational nursing research skills to foster professionalism from an early stage.

Supported by faculty members holding doctoral degrees and professorships, alongside an academic environment that meets national and international standards, this program prepares graduates to advance to the Professional Nurse (Ners) education stage. The program has achieved an Unggul (Excellent) accreditation rating from LAM-PTKes as well as international recognition through accreditation from AHPGS (Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences), reflecting the alignment of its educational quality with national and global standards. Upon completing the program, graduates are awarded the degree of Bachelor of Nursing (Sarjana Keperawatan / S.Kep.) as academic recognition of their achieved scientific competence.

Admission Requirements

  1. Graduates with a Bachelor of Nursing (S.Kp.) or Registered Nurse (Ners) degree from a higher education institution accredited at least Baik Sekali (Very Good).
  2. Hold a valid Competency Certificate or Registration Certificate (STR).
  3. Have a minimum GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale).
  4. Pass the SIMAK UI selection process, which includes the Academic Aptitude Test (TPA), English Language Test, and an interview.

    a. Fill in the track record and upload the academic requirement documents: Ners diploma (make 1 pdf file)
    b. Education institution accreditation certificate of at least B;
    c. Certificate of competency or Nurse Registration Certificate;
    d. Certificate of work experience
    e. Surat pernyataan (mengikuti paket pendidikan S2 + spesialis) untuk pendaftar peminatan manajemen;
    f. Letter of permission/learning assignment from the head of the institution where you work
    g. TPA dan TOEFL yang masih berlaku (jika ada);
    Apabila tidak mengunggah dokumen tersebut dianggap tidak memenuhi persyaratan administrasi
  2. Make payment of SIMAK UI registration fee.
  3. Take the written examination organised by the University of Indonesia;
  4. Participated in an interview organised by Faculty of Nursing UI
