Biography

Dr. Ns. Dikha Ayu Kurnia, S.Kep., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.M.B. is a lecturer in the Medical Surgical Nursing Department at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (FoN UI), and a member of the Active Aging and Lifelong Wellness research group. She is a specialist in medical-surgical nursing who actively contributes to nursing education, research, and service innovation.

Her areas of expertise and research interest focus on medical-surgical nursing, self-management in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, self-consciousness in people living with diabetes, diabetic foot care, and the use of innovative technology in health promotion. As a researcher, she has produced more than 31 scientific works including journal articles, literature reviews, copyrights, a book, and conference contributions. Her research covers the effectiveness of home-based physical exercises on diabetic foot vascularization, the use of virtual reality in preoperative patient education, and music therapy interventions for cognitive function in the elderly. Her scholarly contributions support the achievement of SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

In addition to her research activities, Dr. Dikha has contributed to strengthening the global capacity of FoN UI through participation in international training at HITOWA Care Service, Niiza Training Center, Saitama, Japan, focusing on Japanese elderly care standards, digital transformation in nursing, and the development of internationally recognized curricula.
