Ayu is a lecturer at Pediatric Nursing Department Faculty of Nursing Universitas Indonesia. She completed her master’s degree at International Advanced Program in Nursing, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan in 2021. Her thesis topic was related to child behavior, parental participation, and parent psychological distress during child hospitalization in COVID-19 pandemic era. Pediatric nursing in infectious disease patients, child behavior, and parental involvement are her research area interests. Currently, she works on research to analyze the influencing factors of parental consent for COVID-19 vaccination in minors.
To fulfil the teaching roles, Ayu involves in team teaching of Pediatric Nursing Practicum course (as a coordinator), Pediatric Nursing in Healthy Children course and Pediatric Nursing in Sick Children course of bachelor classes. Currently, with the team, she got the grant to develop a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) of Pediatric Nursing Practicum course from DPASDP Universitas Indonesia.
Beside teaching, Ayu also actively involved in research project, community engagement activities and clinical nursing practice in hospital. Previously, she has been a pediatric nurse for 2 years in teaching hospitals. For clinical care improvement and collaboration, since July 2022, she is also joining Universitas Indonesia Hospital as a Clinical Care Manager at Inpatient Pediatric Ward.
