Program Studi Magister Ilmu Keperawatan Kelas Khusus Internasional (KKI)

The International Special Program (ISP) for the Bachelor of Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia, is an undergraduate program designed with a global orientation and delivered in English. The program is part of University of Indonesia's International Program initiative, which aims to prepare graduates to compete in the global healthcare and nursing workforce.

The ISP integrates a competency-based curriculum with international perspectives in nursing education, research, and practice. Program Scheme

Degree

The International Special Program (ISP) for the Bachelor of Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia, follows a single degree, students will be awarded the Bachelor of Nursing (S.Kep.) degree from University of Indonesia upon completing all required academic coursework and fulfilling the program's graduation requirements.

Under single degree, the diploma is issued solely by University of Indonesia as the degree-awarding institution. While the curriculum complies with Indonesia's national higher education standards, it is enriched through international benchmarking and global perspectives. Students are also encouraged to participate in various international activities, including student exchange programs, short courses, visiting lecturers, and research collaborations. These activities enhance students' international exposure but do not result in an additional degree from the partner university.

Learning Methods

The International Special Program (ISP) for the Bachelor of Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia adopts a blended learning approach, combining face-to-face instruction with integrated online learning.

Students participate in interactive classroom sessions, clinical skills laboratory practice, discussions based on evidence-based practiceand online learning through digital platforms to provide greater flexibility while enriching course content delivered in English.

International Experience

As part of the international learning experience, students spend one semester studying at an overseas partner university. The host institution is selected based on the student's preference, the list of Universitas Indonesia's official partner universities, and curriculum compatibility. Courses completed during the exchange period are transferred in accordance with the University's academic regulations.

This scheme enables students to gain meaningful international academic experience within the framework of a single degree at University of Indonesia while strengthening their academic, professional, and intercultural competencies.

Student Admission

Talent Scouting is specifically designed for applicants to the International Special Program (ISP) through an assessment of academic achievement and portfolio. Unlike the SIMAK UI ISP pathway, which requires a written examination, this admission route is intended for outstanding senior secondary school graduates from schools officially recognized by or affiliated with University of Indonesia.

The selection process emphasizes applicants' academic performance by evaluating the consistency of grades in relevant subjects over the last five semesters. Non-academic achievements, such as awards and participation in international organizations or activities, are considered additional merits. Applicants are also required to submit a valid English language proficiency certificate to demonstrate their readiness to undertake an internationally oriented curriculum.

SIMAK UI – International Special Program (ISP) is University of Indonesia's independent admission pathway for applicants seeking an international undergraduate education through strategic collaborations with renowned overseas(partner universities).Unlike the regular admission pathway, all entrance examinations are conducted entirely in English and consist of Basic Mathematics, English for Academic Purposes, and Logical Reasoning.

In addition to passing the written examination, applicants must submit a valid English language proficiency certificate as part of the admission requirements.
