Hazardous waste in FoN UI is mostly from the waste disposal of the nursing laboratory practice in the faculty. The waste is sorted based on infectious, non-infectious, and toxic hazardous materials. The policy on hazardous waste disposal is regulated in the Laboratory’s Standard Operational Procedure number POB-LAB-003/UN2.F12.D/OTL.03.00/2019 about Laboratory Waste Disposal. This procedure applies to every waste disposal from the laboratories, starting from collecting, sorting, packaging, to transferring waste to the RIK waste disposal site.
