Biography

Dr. Debie Dahlia, S.Kp., M.H.S.M. is a lecturer in the Medical Surgical Nursing Department at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (FoN UI), and a member of the Chronic and Palliative Care research group. Her primary areas of expertise include medical-surgical nursing, diabetes mellitus care, palliative care, self-care management in patients with chronic diseases, and the application of evidence-based practice in nursing.

As an active researcher, she has produced more than 64 scientific works including journal articles, literature reviews, conference contributions, systematic reviews, and a book. Her research focuses on self-management in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, physical exercise interventions to improve peripheral vascularization in diabetic foot, the use of digital applications in patient empowerment, and self-management in colorectal cancer patients with stomas. Her scholarly contributions support the achievement of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

In community engagement, Dr. Debie is actively involved in education and community empowerment activities related to the prevention of diabetes mellitus and hypertension complications, including foot care training for patients, community health volunteers (kader), and Prolanis program participants in the Depok area, West Java.
