Biography

Dr. Amelia Kimin, S.Kp., M.N. is a lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (FoN UI). She holds a Bachelor of Nursing (S.Kp.) and a Master of Nursing (M.N.) from Universitas Indonesia, and has completed her doctoral degree in nursing.

Her primary areas of expertise and research interest include medical-surgical nursing, disaster nursing, emergency care, and nurses’ readiness and willingness to respond in disaster situations. As a researcher, she has actively contributed to studies exploring factors that influence nurses’ disaster preparedness, clinical decision-making in emergency and trauma care, and community-based nursing practice. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed national and international journals.

Beyond her academic role, Dr. Amelia has made significant contributions to the FoN UI nursing community through her organizational leadership. She served as Chairwoman of the University of Indonesia Faculty of Nursing Alumni Association (ILUNI UI FIK) for the 2019–2022 period, during which she led initiatives including a scholarship program for nursing students facing financial challenges. Her commitment to the growth of the nursing profession reflects a deep dedication to the welfare of both nursing students and the broader Indonesian nursing community.
