Biography

Dessie Wanda completed her doctoral degree at University of Technology Sydney in 2016. Her dissertation topic was related to reflective practice in clinical education. She used action research in her study.

Dessie has started working at Faculty of Nursing Universitas Indonesia since 1997. She chose Pediatric Nursing as her area of interest, and therefore since then she became a member of Department of Pediatric Nursing. Her research interests are in the area of pediatric nursing, clinical education, reflective practice and qualitative research.

In regard to Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi, Dessie has several teaching roles for undergraduate and postgraduate students. For undergraduate students, Dessie involves in Pediatric Nursing and Health Research Methodology subjects, while for postgraduate students, she is a member of team teaching for Pediatric Nursing Care in Acute Condition, Evidence-Based Practice in Pediatric Nursing and Qualitative Research subject. Besides teaching, Dessie also actively involved in many research and community engagement activities. Such activities were funded by Ministry of Education Republic of Indonesia, Universitas Indonesia or Faculty of Nursing. Many publication has been produced from the research and community engagement activities she conducted.
