Oncology Nursing Specialist Ners Study Program

Head of the Oncology Nursing Specialist Ners Study Programme

The Oncology Nursing Specialist Ners Study Programme is a study programme that is carried out after students complete the Master of Nursing Science Study Programme. This specialist education stage is taken in 2 semesters and a maximum of 3 semesters. Graduates of the Ners Specialist in Oncology Nursing Study Programme and will obtain the professional title of Oncology Nursing Specialist (Sp.Kep.Onk).

The FoN UI Oncology Nursing Specialist Ners Study Programme has been accredited by LAM-PTKes and BANPT.

Vision

"To make the Oncology Nursing Specialist Ners Study Program, Faculty of Nursing Science, University of Indonesia as a centre for the development of culturally sensitive Oncology Nursing science and technology that can compete nationally and internationally and contribute to Health Development in 2035."

Mission

  1. Provide broad and fair access for the community to participate in quality Oncology nursing specialist professional education.
  2. Organising quality tridharma activities that are relevant to the challenges of the development of cancer health and nursing services nationally and globally.
  3. Producing graduates who have high intellectuality, noble character and obey the Indonesian nursing code of ethics so that they are able to carry out cancer nursing care according to individual needs independently and collaborate with other health teams..
  4. Creating an academic climate that is able to support the realisation of the vision of the FoN-UI Oncology Nursing Specialist Ners study programme.
  5. Having national and global networks to achieve quality tridharma and a good image of oncology nursing.
  6. Develop evidence-based nursing practice,in oncology.
  7. Fostering institutions and alumni of Ners Specialist in Oncology Nursing in order to improve competence.

Objectives

  1. Able to develop professional nursing care to achieve independence in the area of oncology nursing according to ethical, legal, and evidence-based.
  2. Able to develop oncology nursing care based on a culturally sensitive nursing process approach.
  3. Able to organise nursing care management on complex problems in the oncology nursing area comprehensively with knowledge, technology, and or art by paying attention to personal and professional accountability.
  4. Able to provide recommendations for solving problems of science, technology, and or art in the field of oncology nursing through an interdisciplinary approach.
  5. Able to design/produce innovative work based on client needs and the development of practice vehicles independently and or in collaboration with other professions.

Graduate Profile

An oncology nursing specialist who is able to perform case management and provide specialised nursing care using the latest knowledge and specialised nursing skills in an ethical, culturally sensitive, effective and professional manner.

Requirements

  1. Have a Ners diploma, Master of Nursing/MSc in Nursing/ Master of Art in Nursing/ Master of health science (Biomedical/Public Health) from an accredited university of at least B or equivalent.
  2. Possess a Competency Certificate or a Ners Registration Certificate.
  3. At least two years of working experience in Oncology nursing after Ners graduation.
  4. Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3 (on a 4.00 scale).
  5. Meet the minimum criteria for TPA and English scores according to UI regulations
  6. Got recommendation from interviewer (after interview at Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia)

    If the specialisation of the specialist is not the same as the specialisation background in the Masters programme, it is mandatory to take matriculation 1-2 semesters before participating in specialist education*.
  1. Apply online at the site penerimaan.ui.ac.id
  2. Fill in the track record and upload the academic requirement documents:
    a. Bachelor's, Ners and Master's certificates (make 1 pdf file)
    b. Education institution accreditation certificate of at least B;
    c. Certificate of competence or Registration Certificate;
    d. Certificate of work experience
    e. Letter of permission/learning assignment from the head of the institution where you work
    f. Valid TPA and TOEFL (if applicable) at the link  http://tiny.cc/FormSpesialis-RekamJejak ; if the document is not uploaded, it will be considered as not fulfilling the administrative requirements.
  3. Make payment of SIMAK UI registration fee.
  4. Take the written examination organised by the University of Indonesia;
  5. Participated in an interview organised by Faculty of Nursing UI

Lecture/Practice Time and Place

Place: UI Depok Campus and practice sites in the Depok, Jakarta, and Bogor areas, or other locations as determined by the relevant Study Programme.

Time: 5 days/week; hours between 08:00 and 18:00 or according to the service schedule at the practice site.
