Head of the Community Nursing Specialist Ners Study Programme

The Community Nursing Specialist Ners Study Programme is a study programme that is carried out after students complete the Master of Nursing Science Study Programme. This specialist education stage is taken in 2 semesters and a maximum of 3 semesters. Graduates of the Community Nursing Specialist Ners Study Programme will obtain the professional title Community Nursing Specialist (Sp.Kep.K).

Vision

"To make the Community Nursing Specialist Study Program a centre of excellence in the development of community nursing science and technology and community nursing specialist practitioners who are culturally sensitive and responsive to national and international public health nursing needs in 2035."

Mission

  1. Provide broad access for generalist nurses to quality community nursing specialist education.
  2. Organising quality community nursing specialist education and teaching that is relevant to national and international nursing challenges.
  3. Prepare graduates who have a caring attitude and are responsive to the needs of the client system (individuals, families, groups and communities) according to cultural backgrounds.
  4. Develop and implement community nursing research referring to the development of culturally sensitive community nursing science and technology for the benefit of society.
  5. Develop and implement culturally sensitive services and community service based on scientific evidence (evidence-based practice) in community nursing.
  6. Develop national and international networks to improve the Tridharma of quality community nursing specialists.
  7. Fostering nursing institutions in the development and implementation of community nursing in the realisation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
  8. Encourage the involvement of community nursing specialist alumni in the development of the Study Programme and community nursing services.

Objectives

  1. Producing community nursing specialist nurses who are able to apply community nursing knowledge based on evidence-based fact reviews in order to improve the quality of community nursing care.
  2. Producing community nursing specialist nurses who are able to apply professional performance as demonstrated by the application of the results of the development of community nursing science and technology.
  3. Producing community nursing specialist nurses who are able to develop and update community nursing knowledge including nursing interventions and or modality therapy in community nursing.
  4. Produce community nursing specialist nurses who are able to solve complex problems that arise in community nursing care.

Graduate Profile

Ners Specialist in Community Nursing who are able to manage cases and provide specialised nursing care using the latest knowledge and specialised nursing skills in an ethical, culturally sensitive, effective and professional manner.

Requirements

Lecture/Practice Time and Place

  1. Have a diploma of Ners, Master of Nursing / MSc in Nursing / Master of Art in Nursing / Master of Health Science (Biomedical / Public Health) from an accredited university of at least B or equivalent.
  2. Possess a Competency Certificate or a Ners Registration Certificate.
  3. At least two years of working experience in Community nursing after Ners graduation.
  4. Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3 (on a 4.00 scale).
  5. Meet the minimum criteria for TPA and English scores according to UI regulations
  6. Got recommendation from interviewer (after interview at Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia)

    If the specialisation of the specialist is not the same as the specialisation background in the Masters programme, it is mandatory to take matriculation 1-2 semesters before participating in specialist education*.

  1. Apply online at the site penerimaan.ui.ac.id
  2. Fill in the track record and upload the academic requirement documents:
    a. Bachelor's, Ners and Master's certificates (make 1 pdf file)
    b. Education institution accreditation certificate of at least B;
    c. Certificate of competence or Registration Certificate;
    d. Certificate of work experience
    e. Letter of permission/learning assignment from the head of the institution where you work
    f. Valid TPA and TOEFL (if applicable) at the link  http://tiny.cc/FormSpesialis-RekamJejak ; if the document is not uploaded, it will be considered as not fulfilling the administrative requirements.
  3. Make payment of SIMAK UI registration fee.
  4. Take the written examination organised by the University of Indonesia;
  5. Participated in an interview organised by Faculty of Nursing UI

Place: UI Depok Campus and practice sites in the Depok, Jakarta, and Bogor areas, or other locations as determined by the relevant Study Programme.

Time: 5 days/week; hours between 08:00 and 18:00 or according to the service schedule at the practice site.
