Pediatric Nursing Specialist Ners Study Program

Head of the Paediatric Nursing Specialist Ners Study Programme

The Paediatric Nursing Specialist Ners Study Programme is a study programme that is carried out after students complete the Master of Nursing Science Study Programme. This specialist education stage is taken in 2 semesters and a maximum of 3 semesters. Graduates of the Paediatric Nursing Specialist Study Programme will obtain the professional title of Paediatric Nursing Specialist (Ns.Sp.Kep.A).

Mission

  1. Organising paediatric nursing specialist education programmes oriented towards all health service settings.
  2. Providing paediatric nursing specialist education programmes based on nursing diagnoses using various evidence-based paediatric nursing therapies.
  3. Conduct quality paediatric nursing research that can be translated in health services.
  4. Producing graduates who are able to compete in the national and global arena, uphold the Nursing Code of Ethics, are able to apply paediatric nursing specialist practices to various client systems that are evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and pay attention to the age stages of growth and development of children comprehensively.
  5. Establish partnerships with organisations and institutions related to child health and nursing, at national and international levels.

Objectives

  1. Disseminate culturally sensitive paediatric nursing science and technology and strive for its application to improve public health.
  2. Creating a professional paediatric nursing community that upholds the nursing code of ethics.
  3. Producing qualified Paediatric Nursing Specialist graduates who have expertise in urban nursing, so that they can compete nationally and internationally.
  4. Produce a variety of paediatric nursing research that can contribute to the development of culturally sensitive nursing science to solve urban nursing problems carried out both independently and in collaboration with domestic and foreign partners.
  5. Encourage and support the active participation of the academic community in health development and community service.
  6. Realising national and international cooperation networks to improve the quality of tridarma and improve the image of nursing in general, especially FoN UI.
  7. Realising Evidence Based Practice nursing,so that the uniqueness of nursing in Indonesia will be better developed.
  8. Established a nursing development and training centre with a national reputation.

Graduate Profile

Ners Specialist in Paediatric Nursing is able to develop knowledge and knowledge in designing nursing care and services for paediatric clients in an ethical, culturally sensitive, effective and professional manner.

Requirements

  1. Have a Ners diploma, Master of Nursing/MSc in Nursing/ Master of Art in Nursing/ Master of health science (Biomedical/Public Health) from an accredited university of at least B or equivalent.
  2. Possess a Competency Certificate or a Ners Registration Certificate.
  3. At least two years of working experience in Paediatric nursing after Ners graduation.
  4. Have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3 (on a 4.00 scale).
  5. Meet the minimum criteria for TPA and English scores according to UI regulations

  6. Got recommendation from interviewer (after interview at Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia)

    If the specialisation of the specialist is not the same as the specialisation background in the Masters programme, it is mandatory to take matriculation 1-2 semesters before participating in specialist education*.

  1. Apply online at the site penerimaan.ui.ac.id
  2. Fill in the track record and upload the academic requirement documents:
    a. Bachelor's, Ners and Master's certificates (make 1 pdf file)
    b. Education institution accreditation certificate of at least B;
    c. Certificate of competence or Registration Certificate;
    d. Certificate of work experience
    e. Letter of permission/learning assignment from the head of the institution where you work
    f. Valid TPA and TOEFL (if applicable) at the link  http://tiny.cc/FormSpesialis-RekamJejak ; if the document is not uploaded, it will be considered as not fulfilling the administrative requirements.
  3. Make payment of SIMAK UI registration fee.
  4. Take the written examination organised by the University of Indonesia;
  5. Participated in an interview organised by Faculty of Nursing UI
