Depok, 21 January 2025 - Universitas Indonesia (UI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Dr. Rr. Tutik Sri Hariyati, S.Kp., MARS, FISQua, CHAE as Dean of the Faculty of Nursing (FIK UI) for the period 2025-2029. This appointment was made by the Rector of Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng., IPU, through a transparent and competitive selection process involving various parties within UI.
Prof Rr. Tutik Sri Hariyati, affectionately known as Prof Roro, is a leading figure in the field of nursing both nationally and internationally. With more than two decades of experience in nursing education, research and practice, Prof Roro is recognised as one of the leading experts in the field of healthcare quality and nursing management. She has also been recognised as a Fellow of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (FISQua) and holds a CHAE (Certified Healthcare Administration Executive) certification. In her speech, Prof. Roro expressed her commitment to making the Faculty of Nursing Science UI a centre of excellence in education, research, and community service in nursing. ‘I will work hard to strengthen FIK UI's role as a pioneer of innovation in nursing and contribute to improving health services, both at the national and global levels,’ Prof Tutik said.
She also emphasised the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration, the development of competent human resources, and the strengthening of international networks as the main pillars of her leadership. Prof. Tutik is committed to continuing to encourage excellent programmes, such as improving curriculum quality, developing innovative research, and implementing community service that has a real impact.
The selection process for the Dean of FIK UI was followed by six other candidates who also have outstanding track records, namely Prof. Agung Waluyo, S.Kp., MSc., PhD; Dr. Masfuri, S.Kp., MN; Dr. Novadri Ayubi, S.Or., M.Kes.; Dr. Sigit Mulyono, S.Kp., MN; Sri Yona, S.Kp., MN, PhD; and Prof. Dr. Yati Afiyanti, S.Kp., MN. The selection process was conducted by the Dean Candidate Selection Committee (PSCD) consisting of Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo (Warek 1), Sukihananto (Chair), Mega Hasanul Huda (Secretary), I Made Kariasa (Member), Ria Utami Panjaitan (Member), Hanny Handiyani (Member), and Atik Hodikoh (ILUNI). The University of Indonesia hopes that Prof Dr Rr. Tutik Sri Hariyati to carry out the mandate smoothly and bring the Faculty of Nursing UI to be more successful at the national and international levels.
