Depok, 4 March 2025 - The Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia (FoN UI) has reaffirmed its commitment to producing excellent and impactful leadership by holding the Inauguration Ceremony and Appointment of Structural Officials.

In a series of solemn events, the inaugurated structural officials are expected to be able to carry out their mandate with full responsibility and contribute to improving the quality of education, research, and community service in the field of nursing.

In her speech, the Dean of FIK UI, Prof. Dr. Rr. Tutik Sri Hariyati, S.Kp., MARS, emphasised the importance of leadership that is Superior Impactful for the advancement of Nursing Science. ‘FoN UI must become a superior and impactful institution, not only on a national scale but also internationally. The leadership we inaugurate today must be able to bring this faculty to greater achievements with innovation and high dedication.’ she said.

Prof Rr. Tutik highlighted the important role of developing an entrepreneurial spirit among academics and students through the utilisation of research results to create innovations in nursing education. ‘Today's lecturers are not only educators, but also researchers who can utilise the results of their research to help education and health services more broadly.’ she said.

He also added that FoN UI is not only a centre of excellence for education, but also independent. Business incubation programmes based on nursing research will continue to be improved to create more applicable solutions in the world of education and health services.

As a form of commitment to innovation and research, FoN UI has developed a new Special Work Unit (UKK), namely Nursing Innovation and Research (NIR). It aims to be a centre for research development and innovation in nursing that is not only oriented towards academic publications, but also real implementation in nursing practice and education. With the NIR, FoN UI hopes to encourage more research-based innovations that can be utilised by academics, practitioners, and the wider community.

The officials inaugurated in this event cover various strategic positions, including the Head of the Academic Quality Assurance Unit, Head of the Faculty Administration Centre, Head of UKK NTC, Head of UKK NIR, Manager of Education and Student Affairs, Manager of Research, Publication and Community Service, Manager of Cooperation, Public Relations and Alumni Relations, General Manager (Integration of HR, General, Facilities), Head and Secretary of the Department, Head and Secretary of the Study Programme, as well as the Field Coordinators.

It is hoped that with this new leadership, FoN UI can further strengthen its position as the best nursing education institution in Indonesia. The inauguration of structural officials for this period is an important momentum for FoN UI to further strengthen its role in building an innovative and impactful academic ecosystem. With solid leadership, FoN UI hopes to continue to adapt to changing times and become a pioneer in the development of research and technology-based nursing.
