Depok, August 20–21, 2025 – The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (FoN UI), once again held the Faculty Academic Orientation (PSAF) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This two-day program carried the theme *“Nursing with Purpose: Integrity, Professionalism, and Heart – Lead with Integrity, Care with Heart.”*

PSAF is an annual agenda designed to welcome new students of the Master’s, Specialist, and Doctoral programs in Nursing Science at FoN UI. Through this program, students are introduced to the academic system, campus life, values of integrity, and professional ethics that form the foundation of their education and nursing profession.

The first day (August 20, 2025) began with registration, the screening of FoN UI’s profile video, and a symbolic welcome by the PSAF mascot. The program continued with the opening ceremony, a traditional Nusantara dance performance, and a report from the Student Affairs Coordinator. The Dean of FoN UI, Prof. Dr. Rr. Tutik Sri Hariyati, SKp., MARS, officially opened the event by striking the gong and pinning the co-cards on the new students.

The first day’s series of sessions featured the faculty leadership, professors, and nursing experts, including:

– Dr. Wiwin Wiarsih, S.Kp., M.N (Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs), who presented the academic system of FoN UI.
– Dr. Masfuri, S.Kp., M.N (Vice Dean for Resources, Enterprises, and General Administration), who introduced the facilities, infrastructure, and tuition system.
– Prof. Yeni Rustina, S.Kp., M.App.Sc., Ph.D, who presented on academic ethics.
– Prof. Dr. Budi Anna Keliat, S.Kp., M.App.Sc., who conducted motivational training for the new students.

In addition, students participated in sessions introducing academic services, information systems, and professional organizations such as Sigma Theta Tau International and the Nursing Theory Club (NTC).

The second day (August 21, 2025) featured introductions to study programs by level and specialization, a sharing session with the Head of the Scientific Division (Kadiksuh), the election of class representatives, and presentations on the Graduate Student Association (HMP) and FoN UI Alumni Association (ILUNI). New students were also encouraged to showcase their creativity through cheer and poster competitions.

The event concluded symbolically with the release of the co-cards and the Dean placing the academic stole on the class representative. This moment marked the official induction of the new FoN UI students, affirming that they are ready to embark on their academic journey at one of Indonesia’s leading nursing faculties.

“Through PSAF, we aim to instill values of integrity, professionalism, and heart in nursing practice. We hope that students will not only excel academically but also develop leadership qualities and a strong sense of care for others,” said the Dean of FoN UI, Prof. Roro, in her remarks.

With the successful implementation of PSAF 2025, FoN UI reaffirms its commitment to cultivating professional nurses who are ethical, competent, and ready to contribute to national and global health development.
