Depok, June 17, 2025 – The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (FoN UI), in collaboration with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), organized a free health check-up event for the FoN UI academic community on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Held at the Ojo Radiat Auditorium, FoN UI Education and Laboratory Building, this activity is part of a series of promotive and preventive health initiatives designed to support the physical well-being of the campus community.
This check-up provides comprehensive services covering key aspects of basic health, namely:
- Blood sugar test
- Uric acid level test
- Cholesterol test
- Blood pressure check
- Height and weight measurement
- Direct consultation with professional medical staff
All services were provided free of charge to participants, including lecturers, educational staff, students, and other campus community members. Through this activity, participants not only received basic personal health data but also gained important education on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preventing metabolic diseases that commonly occur during productive years and approaching retirement.
As a health education institution with a vision to become a leading and impactful faculty, FoN UI consistently promotes initiatives that address the holistic aspects of its community’s life. This activity reflects FoN UI’s care for physical well-being as an essential element in supporting the productivity, enthusiasm for work, and quality of life of the academic community.
“Physical health is the foundation of all our great efforts. When the body is healthy, we can think clearly, work at our best, and serve with full enthusiasm. This activity is proof that FoN UI continues to strive to make the campus a healthy place that cares for its community,” said Dr. Nur Agustini, S.Kp., M.Si., General Manager of FoN UI, during an interview.
This activity represents a tangible form of cross-sector collaboration between the education sector and the financial industry. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) not only provided logistical support and event facilitation but also delivered education on healthy financial management based on Sharia principles, as part of fulfilling the holistic needs of the campus community.
"We believe that well-being consists of two sides: physical health and good financial management. Through this collaboration, we hope to make a real contribution to both aspects," said the BSI representative.
This health check is expected to trigger a preventative culture within FoN UI, where the academic community is encouraged to actively monitor their physical condition, recognize risks early on, and manage a healthier lifestyle. Simple steps like this can have a significant long-term impact, especially in preventing chronic diseases that often appear without initial symptoms.
FoN UI aims for activities like this to become a routine annual program, as part of the campus's commitment to building a healthy and sustainable educational ecosystem. In the future, the goal is to pursue further collaborations to organize similar activities that target not only basic examinations, but also advanced health screenings, nutritional education, joint exercise, and stress management assistance.
"Health isn't just about being free from illness; it's a balance of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Let's take care of it together. What we do today is an investment for a stronger, more productive, and more meaningful future," concluded Dr. Nur Agustini.
With a spirit of mutual cooperation and cross-sector collaboration, FoN UI continues to move forward, becoming an institution that not only excels in nursing education but also makes a real impact on human well-being.
