Depok, September 18, 2025 – The Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia (FoN UI) is proud that one of its staff members, Kartika Ayuningsih, A.Md.M.I.D., has been entrusted to be the curator of the 2025 Archive Exhibition entitled “UI Station: Books, Train Parties, and Love.” This exhibition is a collaboration between PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and the University of Indonesia Archives Office, held at the University of Indonesia Station Hall, Depok, from September 14–21, 2025.
Kartika serves as an interactive guide who directly explains the various archive collections to visitors. She brings the spirit that archives are not just documents of the past, but a bridge of knowledge that connects history, education, and the daily lives of the community. “As part of the UI community, I am happy to be able to participate in this event. Archives teach us many things, including how education and transportation are closely linked,” she said.
This archive exhibition is held as part of the 40th anniversary of the inauguration of the UI Depok Campus (September 5, 1985–2025) and to welcome the 80th anniversary of PT KAI on September 28, 2025. The connection between trains and the campus world is indeed very close, considering that thousands of students, lecturers, and educational staff use trains every day to carry out their activities at UI. Through this exhibition, the public is invited to rediscover how rails, books, and learning spaces become one big story about the journey of education, culture, and love.
In addition to presenting collection guides, the exhibition was also enlivened by UI theater performances in the form of monologues and play excerpts, as well as interactive activities such as fun games, gacha, and creative vlog competitions that encouraged visitors, especially the younger generation, to document their experiences.
The presence of FoN UI archivists in this guiding role is a tangible manifestation of the faculty's contribution to the preservation of UI archives and history. The archive exhibition is not only a space for nostalgia, but also a means of public education to bring people closer to the values of national history, education, and transportation.
