Depok, August 20, 2025 – The Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (FoN UI), was one of the faculties visited by the judging team from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology as part of the UI Integrity Zone (ZI) Award 2025. This visit marked an important moment for FoN UI to demonstrate its commitment to implementing clean and transparent governance while providing public services that directly benefit the community.
The Dean of FoN UI, Prof. Dr. Rr. Tutik Sri Hariyati, SKp., MARS, stated that developing an Integrity Zone is not merely about fulfilling administrative indicators, but a culture that must live in the daily life of the academic community. *“Integrity must become our shared identity. The public should be able to feel that the campus exists not only as an educational institution but also as a trusted center for public service,”* she said.
FoN UI has implemented various digital-based public service innovations, ranging from an electronic correspondence system and online attendance with face recognition to the integration of service information through the faculty’s official website. This digital transformation addresses the community’s need for faster, more transparent services that are free from potential misuse.
In addition to digitalization, FoN UI has also developed a variety of flagship services that directly address community needs. These include free health check-ups, CPR education, Nursing UI Daycare for children, and the Wellness Center program, which offers activities such as regular exercise, outdoor mindfulness sessions, and healthy retirement preparation.
During the visitation, the UI ZI 2025 Jury Team also directly observed several FoN UI facilities that reflect both the spirit of integrity and public service. These facilities included the Multimedia Room, serving as a space for students and lecturers to showcase technology-based learning innovations; the lobby and administrative service area of the Graduate Building, which provides fast and transparent one-stop services; and Nursing UI Daycare, a child-care facility that is welcoming not only to the academic community but also open to the general public. In addition, the jury team visited the Lactation Room, demonstrating FoN UI’s commitment to maternal and child health and an inclusive work environment; the Nursing Training Center (NTC), a training hub for enhancing healthcare workers’ competencies; and the student study room on the 5th floor, designed for comfort to support students’ academic performance.
Public health issues have also become a major focus for FoN UI students and lecturers in community service. For example, through the Atambua Kita program, FoN UI students actively provide healthcare services in border areas, as well as run campaigns promoting healthy lifestyles and climate change adaptation for coastal communities.
This visit by the ZI Team also reaffirmed FoN UI’s position as one of the pioneers in nursing education in Indonesia, not only preparing professional healthcare workers but also fostering a work culture grounded in integrity.
