Learning activities at FON UI are very diverse, there are classroom learning, lab practice, clinical practice, and others. Classroom learning activities are usually carried out to explain the theory of nursing science so that the activities are in the form of discussions, presentations, and plenary sessions. Students will be divided into several classes accompanied by a facilitator. The learning system used is student center learning, so the lecturer acts as a facilitator who helps and facilitates students to ask questions that have not been understood.

Learning in the lab often uses phantom and complete lab equipment so that students can practice optimally before taking action on patients directly.
FON UI students are often involved in community service activities with lecturers. These community service activities are carried out in various regions under the guidance of the University of Indonesia throughout Indonesia. The types of activities carried out are in accordance with the problems of each region, such as health literacy problems, waste problems, disaster management, and others. The goal is to train students to care about their environment by recognizing problems in their environment, finding solutions to their problems, and directly helping people in need.
One of the courses at FoN UI is Transcultural Nursing with a weight of 3 credits. One of the learning activities is that students go directly to the community to recognize local cultural characteristics. In 2022, FoN UI students will go to Kampung Naga located in Tasikmalaya to implement the theory that has been learned for 1 semester.
Some courses at FON UI require students to practice directly in hospitals that have collaborated with FON UI. These hospitals include UI Hospital, Bogor Hospital, Depok Hospital, etc. Students will practice in different clinics according to the course being undertaken. Students will learn to practice nursing knowledge that has been learned in class accompanied by professional nurses in the hospital. This activity aims to improve students' knowledge and skills regarding the practice of nursing care directly in the hospital.
Students are an inseparable element of education. As the oldest nursing faculty in Indonesia, the Faculty of Nursing Science UI (FON UI) has the responsibility to produce professional and outstanding nurses. FON UI is committed to facilitating students to develop themselves by participating in various trainings, seminars, workshops, competitions, and other student activities, both in the academic field and in the field of arts and sports.

The Student Representative Council is the highest institution in the Formal Student Affairs Institution that holds legislative and judicial functions. Student Representative Council is tasked with formulating and disseminating legal products, monitoring the performance and work programs of FON UI Formal Student Affairs Institutions, capturing aspirations, conducting FON UI Formal Student Affairs Institutions financial audits, designing FON UI Formal Student Affairs Institutions budgets, and conducting regeneration as well as succession. With a service period of 1 year, Student Representative Council has several major programs held, including; OKK MABIM FON UI, PEMIRA IKM FON UI, Discussion with the Dean, and Designing the Annual Legislation Program.
The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Nursing UI (BEM FON UI) is an institution that holds executive functions within the scope of the FON UI Student Formal Institution and is authorized in advocating for the welfare of FON UI students, providing a forum for self-development for FON UI students through programs work, as well as political attitudes outside the FON UI Student Family Association. BEM FON UI has 5 bureaus and 6 departments that support the organization for 1 year of management with various work programs such as Nurse, FON UI Serving, FON UI Cup, Professional Discussion, and Colloquium of Nursing Issues.
The Islamic Study and Practice Forum (FPPI) is a spiritual institution that accommodates FON UI Muslim students together to do good and broaden their horizons about Islam, as well as establish ukhuwah among Muslim FON UI I students. FPPI FON UI is an autonomous organization of the formal student organization of FIK UI with a management service period of 1 (one) year. In its journey, FPPI FON UI held many studies, seminars, and the development of media broadcasts that raised various topics about Islam. Examples of study events held by FPPI are Islamic Inspiration (ION), Muslimah Class, Islamic Nursing Studies, and Pre-Marriage Studies. In addition, there is also the biggest FPPI event, namely the National Islamic Nursing Festival which is held to commemorate the anniversary of FPPI. The activities held by FPPI FON UI in addition to being attended by Muslim FON UI students are also often attended by Muslim students from other faculties and the general public.
Pertiwat FON UI is a forum for all Christian and Catholic FON UI students to develop their personalities and establish human relationships with one another through spiritual fellowship. The service period of Pertiwat is 1 (one) year during which the congregation will grow together in Christ. Pertiwat is under the auspices of BEM FON UI. Pertiwat FON UI coordinates several divisions with their work programs. The divisions in Pertiwat consist of the event division, prayer observers, and small groups. Some of the work programs carried out are congregational fellowships and prayer fellowships which are held every Friday, as well as Easter and Christmas celebrations.
Nursing First Aid (NuFA) is an Autonomous Body (BO) located at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia (FON UI). NuFA FON UI is an organization that operates in the emergency sector and has the ability to provide first aid assistance to all age groups, administer health checks, and perform community service. Students who are active members of NuFA FON UI have abilities according to their role in the nursing field, especially in the emergency field.
BSOP Ners is a student organization under the auspices of BEM FON UI which is engaged in journalism. BSOP Nurses aim to provide information about health issues from a nursing perspective. The divisions in BSOP Ners consist of chief editors, public relations, PSDM, Secretary of Bend, reporters & editors, and design. The term of service for BSOP Nurses is 1 (one) year with work programs: Journalistic Training, Nerscare, Nersmagazine, Podcast, Bigshoot, Funfact, Journalistic Competition, etc.
BMK is an organization at FON UI that facilitates students, especially FON UI in meeting the needs of lecture equipment such as mats and professional clothes, and accommodates FON UI students who want to learn entrepreneurship by organizing work programs that are able to hone soft skills and encourage business development such as Daisho (Daily Shop). So that they can train their members' soft skills and provide optimal services for FIK UI students. The tenure of the BMK is 1 year. The following are some examples of BMK work programs, namely: HI NERS, TANNERS, Equipment FOR Nursing (EFON), Daily Shop (DAISHO).
HMP stands for Postgraduate Student Association. As the name implies, this association consists of master's, specialist and doctoral residents studying at the UI Faculty of Nursing with a management period of 1 year.
To participate in implementing the tridharma of higher education, HMP FON UI has a flagship program. Such as, community service, especially in the health sector in areas affected by natural disasters and disadvantaged areas. Through HMP, Postgraduate students can also receive trainings on academic support activities such as scientific publication training with speakers who are qualified in their fields. In addition, there is much more interesting information about the activities of the FON UI HMP.
