Empowering Women in Mitigating Climate Change Impacts on Health:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Collaborative research group between FoN UI, Monash University, and University of Melbourne.<\/strong>
<\/span>In 2023, a collaborative research between the three universities was conducted through the Knowledge Partnership Platform Australia-Indonesia (KONEKSI). This study addresses climate change impacts on the health of women and children. Utilising nursing expertise and drawing on mixed-methods, the research documents and amplifies diverse women\u2019s experiences to generate inclusive policy-relevant information on protecting health from increasing climate-change-related pressures. It also creates long-term partnerships with Indonesian women that will facilitate the nursing research team’s long-term capacity to serve the women of Indonesia as they face an uncertain climate future.<\/span><\/p>

Global Health Research Group STAND: Collaborative research group between FoN UI, University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN)<\/span><\/strong>
Since 2022, the Global Health Research Group on Sustainable Care for Anxiety and Depression (STAND) conducts collaborative research with various evidence-based mental health care development programs. Throughout 2023, STAND Indonesia organized several key activities, including data collection through In-depth Interviews and Focus Groups with 167 participants from February to May. In August 2023, the Co-Adaptation Work Package 2 was conducted, involving stakeholders such as patients, families, community health workers, and healthcare professionals from 12 sites. STAND also carried out a household survey of 19,236 individuals to identify factors influencing anxiety and depression. In November 2023, the Theory of Change Work Package 3 was held, engaging participants from Community Engagement & Involvement, National Stakeholders, and the Implementation References Group. Additionally, STAND Indonesia conducted seven Cross-Cutting Theme activities aimed at capacity building for the general public and researchers, both online and offline, focusing on research methods and topics related to anxiety and depression.<\/span><\/p>

FoN UI, through the Global Health Research Group STAND<\/strong>, collaborates with NGOs such as CISDI, Ubah Stigma, Into The Light, and KPSI to address mental health challenges and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Together, they work to raise public awareness about mental health issues, particularly anxiety and depression, through engaging festivals, informative seminars, and various outreach activities. This partnership aims to promote mental well-being, reduce stigma, and foster a supportive community, ultimately contributing to the achievement of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.<\/span><\/p>

Almost all subjects in Faculty of Nursing relates to SDGs #3 Good Health and Well Being since the nature of this faculty is closely related to health. The Women Empowerment Center Alumni Association of Faculty of Nursing Universitas Indonesia (WEC ILUNI UI FIK) held a webinar on “PRIMA: Smart, Independent, and Healthy Women” in commemoration of the 38th Anniversary of FoN UI and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.<\/span><\/p>

The speaker and topics discussed in the webinar are:
1. <\/span>Irma Nurbaeti: The Study of Domestic Violence during the Covid-19 Pandemic;
<\/span>2. Tri Lestari Handayani: Eliminating Violence from Women;
<\/span>3. Hartati Bangsa: Identifying and Early Diagnosis of Violence Against Women in Healthcare Facilities; and

Through the Community Care Grant 2023, students and lecturers of FoN UI conducts education outreach to locals around Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>

  1. Tirto id: Development of Family Medicinal Plant Centers (TOGA) to Overcome Hypertension and Stunting Based on Community Empowerment in Karimunjawa Assisted Villages, Jepara Regency<\/span><\/a>. This outreach includes the creation and management of TOGA centers using hydroponic methods, as well as the use of fish to improve health. In this training, mothers of stunting toddlers, PKK teams, TPPS teams, Posyandu cadres, Puskesmas cadres, and residents of Karimunjawa District were given an explanation of how to plant, care for, utilize, and process TOGA hydroponically. TOGA plants that are educated and planted are spinach and mustard greens to overcome stunting, as well as lettuce and celery to overcome hypertension. This program is designed to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to reducing hunger and improving public health<\/li>
  2. Sinar Pagi News: Improving the Quality of Human Resources in the Dukuh Glagah Youth Group, Tulas Village by Providing Peers<\/span><\/a>. Improving the quality of human resources in Dukuh Glagah is a concrete step in an effort to expand the knowledge and skills of teenagers and is expected to be able to participate in realizing Indonesia’s golden generation. This community care grant activity emphasizes three key aspects: self-development, reproductive health, and career map. All teenagers who are actively involved in this program will be invited to participate through various kinds of self-development activities, such as experience sharing sessions, materials from competent sources, and creative projects.<\/li>
  3. Sinar Pagi News: Youth Peer Counseling Ambassador Movement as an Effort to Prevent Early Marriage in Garut Regency, West Java<\/span><\/a>. The GERCANI program consists of seminar activities regarding the importance of reproductive health and the impact of early marriage to increase awareness and knowledge of senior high school students in SMAN 2 Garut regarding the dangers of early marriage without proper preparation and knowledge.<\/li><\/ol>

Sinar Pagi News: Increasing Awareness, Mitigation Knowledge, and First Aid on Tsunami and Earthquake Disasters through Information Communication and Education Approach for Elementary School Students of SDN Teluk 01 Labuan Subdistrict<\/span><\/a>.<\/span> The implementation of disaster mitigation simulation for children in Pandeglang area is needed because it is a disaster-prone location. This activity targets elementary school children in grades 3 to 6 because they are qualified to receive and process information and are expected to be responsible for themselves and others. The purpose of this activity is to train and provide survival capital for themselves and help others when facing tsunami and earthquake disasters.<\/li>

    2. BEM FoN UI Instagram: FoN UI Student Executive Board Leads Clean-Up Day at Lenggahsari Village to Restore Irrigation Systems and Address Flooding. <\/span><\/a>Students and community members unite to clear debris and repair irrigation channels, taking vital steps to combat local flooding issues.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><\/blockquote><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
