Buses are the most common means of public transportation in Jakarta. There are many bus companies serving routes in Jakarta. Many of the larger buses can accommodate 25-40 people.<\/p>

The bus number and start\/end point of each bus route are visible on the front of the bus. Inter-city buses to major cities in Java and Sumatra are stationed at the central bus terminals \u2013 Pulo Gadung, Kampung Rambutan, Lebak Bulus, Blok M, and Kota.<\/p>

Busway: Fast buses with dedicated lanes have been put into operation to accommodate passengers working in busy business areas. The busway is also well connected to major train stations.<\/p>

A commuter line (train) runs regularly from Jakarta to Bogor via Depok. It is a cheap mass transportation. Trains to other major cities in Java depart from Gambir, Senen and Jatinegara stations. Some trains can be booked in advance. Trains have become a convenient transportation for inter-city travel at an affordable price.<\/p>
