Depok, March 11, 2020, took place the Sharing Session “Professional Nursing Practice in Kuwait: Experience and Opportunities” by presenting Mr. Rana Purnama Lahardi (Chairman of Indonesian National Nurses Association Branch Kuwait 2017-2022; Specialist Nurse in Dialysis Center, Farwaniya Hospital, Ministry of Health Kuwait) and Mr Mohammad Robby Fajar Cahya, MSN (Urology & Fertility Medicine Nurse Specialist in Sabah Al Ahmad Urology Center Ministry of Health Kuwait, Founder of SHIFARA GROUP and Member of Professional Expertise Division of Kuwait Diaspora). The activity which took place in Faculty of Nursing, Education and Laboratory Building aims to increase information for Faculty of Nursing UI alumni and students regarding what processes must be passed to be able to work abroad, especially Kuwait. Also attending this activity were the Manager of Cooperation, Venture and Alumni Engagement, Mrs. Herni Susanti, Ph.D; Manager of Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Tuti Nuraini; Head of the Faculty Administration Center, Hening Pujasari, Ph.D.
The two sources explained that in order to work abroad, everyone must prepare it in advance. In addition, they explained about the facilities that were obtained while being a nurse in Kuwait, one of which was getting a salary ranging from 700 – 900 KWD or the equivalent of 31 million – 45 million rupiah. In addition, workers also get other accommodation facilities ranging from housing, transportation, daily meals. Even nurses in Kuwait get annual leave of more than 30 days per year.
