About

I started my career in the Faculty of Nursing Universitas Indonesia (FoN UI) in 2008 after my master graduated from the School of Nursing and Health Sciences Kagoshima University, Japan. As a lecturer in the community health nursing department, we are lecturing not only on community health nursing subject but also on gerontic nursing. We provide teaching-learning for the student in academic and professional phases for under and postgraduate programs.

My home-based study program is in the bachelor nursing program, but I engage in professional nurse and master program. I focus on gerontic nursing courses and develop the theory and practicum modules for these subjects. Since 2013, I have been developing e-learning to enrich my courses. In pandemic situations, fully online learning has conducted for all faculty courses, supported by the university with the E-learning Management System (EMAS). I got an e-learning grant in 2020 to develop tutorial videos for gerontic nursing practicum. We made fourteen tutorial videos which are uploaded on our e-learning page.

My research focuses on elderly care, and more specific is about fall management among institutionalized older people. One of my research results was developing a physical exercise for the resident in nursing homes to decrease fall risk and increase the balance and health status. In our other researches conducted in the community setting, we applied interventions to the older people who live with their families. Most of my community engagement or social services conducted in older people’s social institutions.
